The Project
Home Farm Projects is a sustainable permaculture farm based in the beautiful Normandien Mountains in Kwazulu-Natal. We use systems that are kind to the environment to create an abundant life. These systems can be applied to any Home so that each home becomes a resource of food, water and electricity.
On a macro scale the earth is our home and has integrated systems to provide everything it needs on site. On a micro scale currently our homes only take into consideration shelter and all other basic needs are provided externally, mostly from processes that harm the earth, animals and humans. If our processes in the Home become more in line with natural patterns we can contribute to our environment instead of just taking from it. This will allow as as a species to provide on a scale-able level; each home becomes a cell that provides for it’s inhabitants.
The goal of the project is to re-engineer our interactions with nature to take into account waste management and explore sustainable practices.
About Us
We, Malcolm and Izelle, are a yoga couple. We own a yoga studio in Kyalami, Midrand and have always dreamed of a world where there is enough for everybody. Creating community is what we do. We have been growing our own food for 10 years. We started several small initiatives to make food available for free. We believe that there are smarter ways to live that will benefit all life on earth.
